Meditation Course Conducted at the Women's Center at the University of Washington, Spring 2007
Course Title: Meditation for Increased Creativity and Relaxation
The human brain is estimated to have billions of possible connections between neurons. The immense creative potential of the brain can be tapped into by using techniques to create new connections and activate unused portions of the brain. Limiting and negative thought patterns as well as stress keep us from accessing this potential. In this course we will use a spectrum of techniques as varied as guided visualization, the use of sound energy or simply watching the spin of thought patterns in meditative silence, to still the mind and to explore ways to harness the creative potential available. Most importantly, these meditation techniques will help one to experience a sense of inner calm, increased focus and energy and a feeling of well-being.
